WBC confirms Fury’s retirement

Tyson will have a special event

WBC President Mauricio Suleiman confirms end of WBC heavyweight title Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs).

“I had a video conference with Tyson Fury, who officially confirmed his retirement from boxing. We support his decision to retire undefeated. We will be preparing a special farewell event for Fury soon.”

Today Briton Tyson Fury thanked everyone who was with him throughout his professional career as a boxer and announced the cessation of performances in the ring.

Fury has previously announced his retirement from professional football following a convincing win over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.

Fury’s representatives were reportedly in talks with Derek Chisora to hold another face-to-face confrontation in December 2022. Tyson personally demanded that Derek agree to a duel.

Fury also intended to wait for a rematch between Alexander Usik and Anthony Joshua, after which Tyson planned to fight the winner of the confrontation.
