The first vice-president of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR), Natalia Yarygina, was re-elected to the office of the World Wrestling Union (UWW), reports the director of the sports training center of Russian national teams, Georgy Bryusov.
Yarygina was re-elected in the first round of voting, she received 60 votes. Also in the first round, Portugal’s Pedro Silva, Hungary’s Petr Bacha, two-time American Olympic champion Bruce Baumgartner and Qatari representative Zamel Al-Shahrani scored a passing score.
Yarygina is 70 years old and the widow of two-time Olympic champion Ivan Yarygin.
