Fury: I feel sorry for Joshua, sad to see a worthy opponent lose his crown

Tyson confirmed his desire to fight AJ in the future

Former WBC title holder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KO) said that it was hard for him to see the defeat of the former world champion in heavyweight Anthony Joshua in battle against Daniel Dubois. Tyson noted that he still wants to fight AJ in the future.

“I feel sorry for him at the moment, he was knocked out in the last fight in five rounds. He’ll have to go through it again, or not, and then decide his future.”

“I said that after every loss to Anthony I felt depressed. When your opponent loses and it’s not because of you, you feel depressed about it. I felt sorry for him. It was sad to see a worthy opponent lose his crown.”

“I would still fight him whether he had five losses, 10 or 20. It doesn’t matter because at this point in our careers, it’s all about putting on good fights.”

Let us remember that on September 21 in London, Dubois defeated Joshua. Daniel knocked down AJ three times and knocked out his opponent in the fifth round. Dubois defended the IBF title, which he received after Oleksandr Usyk abandoned it.

Fury is preparing for his second fight with Usik. The fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place on December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
