American Calls Out All Light Welterweight Champions
Former undisputed world champion American Teofimo Lopez shared his future plans after an early victory over the Mexican Pedro Campoy.
He stated that he intends to fight for the championship belt in the light welterweight already in the next fight.
“I need [чемпион IBF/WBO] Josh Taylor. I need this guy. I want [Режиса] Prograis. I need [Хосе] Sepeda. I need all the belts. I want to become a two-time undisputed champion.”
Having knocked out Campa, Lopez got his debut victory in the light welterweight division.
Earlier it was reported that Theo intends to hold three fights in light welterweight before the end of the year.
Recall that Teofimo moved to another weight category after losing to George Kambosos in November last year.
Prior to that, Lopez defeated the Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko by unanimous decision and selected his WBA and WBO world lightweight titles, and also became the new WBC franchise champion.
