President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) Mikhail Mamiashvili, after the re-election of Natalya Yarygina to the office of United World Wrestling (UWW), emphasized that politicization affects the wrestling community to a lesser extent.

Yarygina was re-elected in the first round of voting, she received 60 votes. Also in the first round, Portugal’s Pedro Silva, Hungary’s Petr Bacha, two-time American Olympic champion Bruce Baumgartner and Qatari representative Zamel Al-Shahrani scored a passing score.
