President of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) Mikhail Mamiashvili and the federation’s first vice president, Natalya Yarygina, retained their positions as vice presidents of the United World of Wrestling (UWW), according to the FSBR website.

The decision was taken on October 28 in Tirana, where the first meeting of the newly elected UWW bureau was held.

It is noteworthy that all current vice-presidents, with the exception of the American Stan Jezik, who left the office due to age, retained the positions of vice-presidents: these are Mamiashvili and Yarygina (both Russian), Theodoras Hamakos (Greece). ) and Ahroldzhan Ruziev (Uzbekistan), among whom Rodika Yakshi (Türkiye) and Fuad Meskout (Morocco) were added.

Russia remains the only country represented on the UWW board of directors with two delegates.

On Sunday it became known that Yarygina was re-elected to the UWW office. She was re-elected in the first round with 60 votes.
