Senchenko: Bogachuk can impose a good pace, which Madrimov may not be able to pull off

Sergey and Israil will meet in December

Former world welterweight champion and later coach Vyacheslav Senchenko shared his opinion about the upcoming fight of the former WBC interim world champion in junior middleweight, Ukrainian Sergei Bogachuk (24-2, 23 KO) with ex-world champion from Uzbekistan Israil Madrimov (10-0-2, 7 KOs),

“It will be a good fight, a very good fight. It’s hard to say. Here I think it’s 50/50, probably. Both are great fighters, both have a good amateur school, but for some reason I’m probably more inclined towards Bogachuk.”

“The style is very up-tempo. I think that he can impose such a good pace that Madrimov may not be able to pull it off. I’m probably a little more inclined towards Bogachuk’s victory.”

The Bogachuk – Madrimov fight will take place on December 21 in Riyadh, on the undercard of the rematch between WBO/WBA/IBO/WBC heavyweight world champion Alexander Usik and former WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury.

Bogachuk lost to Virgil Ortiz by split decision in his last fight. In the first and eighth rounds, Bogachuk knocked down his opponent. However, after 12 rounds, one judge recorded a draw, the other two gave preference to Ortiz.

Madrimov also lost his last fight. In August, the Uzbek fighter lost to Terence Crawford in the fight for the interim WBO junior middleweight title. Israil also lost his WBA belt, won in March in a fight with Magomet Kubranov.
