Abdulrashid Sadulayev, two-time Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, defeated Georgian Mirian Maisuradze in the final of the World Championship in non-Olympic weight categories, which took place in Tirana.
Sadulayev, who competed in the weight category up to 92 kg, defeated Maisuradze with a score of 6:0. Her gold medal was the first and only for Russian athletes at the tournament.
The bronze medals were won by the representative of Slovakia, Batyrbek Tsakulov, and the Olympic champion, American David Taylor, whom Sadulaev defeated in qualifying.
Sadulaev, 28, is a two-time Olympic champion, four-time European champion, and in Tirana he won his sixth world championship gold medal.
The World Championships in non-Olympic weight categories ended on Thursday, the Russians participated in the competition in neutral status.
