Russian freestyle wrestler Inalbek Sheriev defeated Ukrainian Vasily Shuptar in the bronze medal match at the World Championships in non-Olympic weight categories, which takes place in Tirana.
Sheriev and Shuptar took part in the tournament in the weight category up to 70 kg. The Russian won with a score of 10:0.
The second bronze medalist was Abdulmazhid Kudiev from Tajikistan, who defeated Georgian Akaki Kemertelidze – 13:2. The gold medal was won by the representative of Kazakhstan Nurkozha Kaipanov, who defeated the Japanese Yoshinosuke Aoyagi in the final – 5:3.
Sheriev is 23 years old, in 2024 he won the Russian Championship and the European Youth Championship.
The World Championship will end on October 31, the Russians will compete in neutral status.
