According to experts, the likelihood is that In the Usyk-Fury rematch it will again come down to scoring very big.

The fact is that Usyk and Fury are not among the most dangerous punchers in the division, despite the fact that the Ukrainian has 14 early victories in 22 fights, Fury has 24 in 34 fights. Moreover, both boxers achieved even early victories relatively late. According to the study, Fury is ranked ninth in the ranking of the fastest heavyweight punchers, Usyk is eleventh.

On average, it takes Fury 13 minutes and 17 seconds to win early, and Usyk – 19 minutes and 11 seconds. The difference is almost two rounds: the fifth for the Briton and the seventh for the Ukrainian.

It is noteworthy that not a single active boxer in the division spends less than two rounds on an early victory. The leader in this indicator, 30-year-old Nigerian Efe Ajagbe (20 wins, 14 knockouts), requires six minutes and 55 seconds for an early victory. German Agit Kabayel, who takes second place, has seven minutes and 16 seconds. Chinese Zhang Zhilei was in third position – seven minutes and 32 seconds for an early victory.

It is noteworthy that IBF world champion Daniel Dubois (21 knockouts in 22 fights) ranks only sixth with an indicator of eight minutes and one second for an early victory, former title holder in three versions Anthony Joshua is eighth.

At the same time, Dubois is the undisputed leader in the percentage of early victories – 95.5. For Joshua this figure is 89.3%, for Fury – 70.6%, for Usik – 63.5%.

An agreement has been concluded between Usik and Fury for a re-fight. The “Gypsy King” has officially activated the rematch option. The second fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place on December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said he would seek the introduction of video replays in this fight. Oleksandr Usyk will prepare for the rematch in a training camp in Valencia. The Ukrainian said that he attracts scientists, psychologists to the training camp, and is constantly looking for suitable sparring partners. Tyson Fury said he will begin training six to seven weeks before the fight.
