Russian wrestlers who participated in the World Championships in non-Olympic weight categories in Tirana (Albania) returned to Moscow.
On Friday, the Russian delegation returned from the tournament in Moscow. A plane carrying wrestlers and the leadership of the Russian Wrestling Federation (FSBR) landed in Vnukovo, the capital, reports a correspondent on site.
Russian wrestlers won five medals at the tournament in Albania, which ended on October 31. Freestyle wrestling representatives won three prizes. Double Olympic champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev won gold in the weight category up to 92 kg and became six times world champion. Magomed Magomayev became a silver medalist (up to 79 kg), Inalbek Sheriev – bronze (up to 70 kg). In Greco-Roman wrestling, bronze medals were won by Emin Sefershaev (up to 55 kg) and Sadyk Lalaev (up to 63 kg). The Russians performed in Tirana in a neutral position.
