Joyce: Usyk is dangerous, his style is similar to the work of Mike Tyson

Joe expects a fiery fight

British heavyweight Joe Joyce commented on the rematch of the Ukrainian WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk with a Brit Anthony Joshua.

“If you look at Usyk now, he looks dangerous. He’s bulked up and dodges punches like Mike Tyson. So Usyk improved his level. Of course, Joshua also leveled up, so I think it will be a firefight.”

“Usyk seems to be on fire and he has already beaten Joshua. So things don’t look good for Anthony, but he has a puncher chance. Let’s take a look at what he’s been working on with his new team and what he’s changed. It’s going to be exciting, I’m really looking forward to the fight.”

Recall that the winner of the fight between Joyce and ex-world champion New Zealander Joseph Parker will become the main contender for the duel with the victor of the second fight between Usyk and Briton Anthony Joshua. The Joyce-Parker fight will take place on September 24.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Anthony by unanimous decision and became the world heavyweight champion for the first time.

In Ukraine, the broadcast of the Usyk-Joshua rematch will be hosted by the MEGOGO media service. The broadcast will be free for viewers in Ukraine. The screening will also be available on the regional channels of “Suspilny” and on Usyk’s YouTube channel – Usyk17.
