Hearn: I think Fury will want to fight Joshua next

Anthony also wants a rematch with Daniel Dubois

Promoter Eddie Hearn said that the former world champion Anthony Joshua wants to fight with the former WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury. The promoter believes that “The Gypsy King” is also interested in this fight.

“As frustrating as it may be for some people in boxing, AJ is arguably still the biggest star in the heavyweight division, even though he just lost. This is the reality of the situation. He’ll be fine. He can fight in any fight.”

“Personally, he wants to fight Daniel Dubois. Maybe we’ll fight him in the summer, or maybe we’ll see what happens on December 21st. “I think Fury, whether he beats Oleksandr Usyk or loses, will want to fight AJ next and that’s something we have to decide.”

Joshua lost to Daniel Dubois by knockout in his last fight. Anthony wants a rematch, but may not have time to prepare for February 2025. At this time, Dubois has a window for an interim fight in order to then make his mandatory IBF title defense before April 22.

Fury previously confirmed his desire to fight Joshua. “The Gypsy King” noted that he was upset because of Anthony’s defeat in the fight with Dubois.

Fury is preparing for his second fight with Usik. The fight between Alexander and Tyson will take place on December 21, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
