Russian fighter Artem Vakhitov told that his contract with the UFC is not finalized.
Vakhitov is world champion in Thai boxing, former light heavyweight champion of the Glory promotion. In October, the 33-year-old fighter won the fight at Dana White’s Contender Series show, where UFC president Dana White announced Vakhitov’s move to the organization.
— You said your kickboxing fees were $50-100,000 per fight. The fee for the “competitor” is five thousand for registration and the same amount for winning. Is it unusual to fight over $10,000?
– Certainly. But we knew what we were doing and what we were risking. You can sacrifice your finances to achieve your dreams. Plus, there is the prospect of getting dozens of times more. A fight can be fought, and then we will see.
— In the UFC, will you have a base contract of 10+10 thousand dollars or more?
“We are discussing all of this now, just these issues. »
— So you haven’t physically signed the contract yet?
— Yes, everything is still under negotiation. I think I’ll sign it soon.
— Can you imagine when you will be able to make your UFC debut?
“I only think about next year,” Vakhitov told .
