The World Boxing Association (WBA) has sanctioned a fight between Russia’s Khariton Agrba and Argentina’s Gabriel Rosa as an eliminator for the junior welterweight championship belt. This was announced by the director of Agrba and chairman of the coaching council of the Russian Boxing Federation, Eduard Kravtsov.

At stake in the fight between Agrba and Rosa will also be the IBA world champion belt in the weight category up to 67 kg, as previously announced. The 10-round match itself will take place on November 4 as part of “OLIMPBET. Night of Champions IVA. Boxing on the Volga. Agrba has 14 victories in the professional ring. The 2019 European Games silver medalist last entered the ring in September in Chelyabinsk, when he beat Argentina’s Claudio Gabriel Danef by unanimous decision and won the IBF Intercontinental and WBA Continental junior weight belts welterweight. Agrba is ranked 11th in the IBF rankings and 14th in the WBA rankings in the junior welterweight division. Rosa (27-0) is ranked 13th in the WBA rankings.
