“Personal problems will not affect my actions in the fight against Kovalev” – Vasilevsky

Russian fighter Vyacheslav Vasilyevsky said his personal relationship with Belarusian Vladislav Kovalev would not affect the actions during the face-to-face.

The rematch between Vasilevsky and Kovalev will take place on November 22 in Nizhny Novgorod and will lead the Ural FC 9 tournament. Their first confrontation took place on March 1 in Moscow, Vasilevsky won by split decision, but Kovalev’s team made appeal to the court. The Russian Boxing Federation, based on the results of which the fight was canceled, was declared invalid. Now the fight between Vasilevsky and Kovalev will take place according to MMA rules, but only in a standing position.

“I’m glad there are loud and interesting fights.” Most recently there was a fight with (former UFC fighter Gleison) Tibau, now with Vlad. I like it when I’m involved. I will now begin the filming process. I like when my life is vibrant. For me, every fight is very important. Yes, we have stories with Vlad. But here is a parallel. Before meeting Gleison, we had a very good relationship. And they ask me before the fight: “How are you going to fight with him, since you communicate so friendly?” When you step into the ring or octagon, personal relationships don’t matter. I have over 50 professional fights, and it doesn’t matter what kind of relationship I have with a person. I will go into battle and stick to the plan. All personal moments take a back seat. What I mean is that it won’t affect the fight in any way. “I’ll go out and shake him,” reports a correspondent, reporting Vasilevsky’s words during an event at the press center.
