Commentator Rabadanov’s son about his father’s detention: “There is no contact with him now, we have no right to see him”

The son of the famous commentator Ramazan Rabadanov, Ilyas Rabadanov, commenting on ‘s reports about his father’s detention in Dagestan, said that searches are currently underway at his home.

Martial arts commentator Ramazan Rabadanov was arrested by police in Makhachkala on Wednesday evening. As public figure Shamil Khadulaev told , officers seized a grenade from Rabadanov, which, according to the detainee, was placed in his pocket.

Rabadanov is known as a sports commentator, was a close friend of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov and was also involved in social activities in Dagestan.

— My father called my mother last night, and my mother called me. He was coming home from work on the main street, two people approached him from behind: they brazenly tied his hands, planted a grenade on him, locked him in the car, did not show up, did nothing said. From now on, there is no more contact with him, we are not allowed to see him. The house is currently being searched. The officers came, sealed off the entire apartment and are still looking for something.

— Can you control how searches are carried out?

– My brother is there now, I myself am in the Northern Military District. If I were at home, I wouldn’t allow this. But from the first days I found myself in the zone of a special military operation. And I am now planning to record an appeal addressed to the president and Alexander Bastrykin, I want to publish the video on my social networks. My father is not some kind of asshole to be treated like this, if he is guilty of something then judge him according to the law and the constitution. I want to contact the relevant authorities within the country’s leadership, because I do not trust the Dagestan authorities, since they have already done so. Throwing grenades is already anarchy, are we in the 90s?

— When and what was the last time you spoke to your father?

— We talked about this a week ago, mainly about helping the guys from the Northern Military District. He collects a lot of humanitarian aid from himself and from public organizations, he constantly worries about me, asks what is missing, what is needed. We only talked about it the last time we called each other. I say there’s enough of everything, but he worries about it all the time.

You see, I am an officer, battery commander, I have to take my duty, but I don’t know how I can take my duty when this happens at home, consider myself particularly humiliated by this whole situation, and I want that must be settled,” Rabadanov Jr. told .
