President of the Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Dagestan (FSWRD) Omar Murtuzaliev awarded a cash prize in the amount of 10 million rubles to a native of the republic Abdulrashida Sadulaeva who won gold at the World Championships in non-Olympic weight categories in Tirana, reports the press service of the organization.
On October 31, Sadulayev defeated the Georgian representative Mirian Maisuradze in the final fight in the weight category up to 92 kg and became six times world champion.
“We were all looking forward to Abdulrashid’s fights with his titled rivals – American Taylor and Iranian Ghasempur, and our captain did not disappoint, winning these important and fundamental fights. We are supposed to award 3 million rubles for gold at the World Championship, but considering the excellent fight that Abdulrashid showed and the importance of his victory, I decided to reward him with 10 million,” Murtuzaliev said, quoted by the FSBR press service.
At the World Championships, which ended in Albania at the end of October, Russians competed in neutral status and won five medals.
