Senegalese fighter Oumar Kane said he had no doubts about victory over the Russian. Anatoly Malykhin in a fight for the ONE League championship title.
On Saturday, Malykhin lost a split decision to Kane and was unable to defend the ONE heavyweight championship. The fight took place as part of the ONE 169 tournament in Bangkok.
“I was confident I would win.” It’s my time. Malykhin is a good opponent, a good guy. But my time has come, he’s old,” Kane said in a post-fight interview.
For Malykhin, 36, this is the first defeat in 15 MMA fights; Kane, 32, now has seven wins and one loss.
