The 25-year-old American knocked out Gustavo Lemos in the second round
American lightweight boxer Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KO) commented on the confident victory over the Argentinean Gustavo Lemos (29-2, 19 KO).
“It was the first time I threw out my right hand. Throughout the first round I was just moving on my feet. Once I got the rhythm and the distance, I just threw the shot. It was just a reaction. I wasn’t even invested in this shot. He just came. I hit him right on the chin and he fell.”
Davis knocked out Lemos in the second round. Keyshawn continues to go undefeated in his professional career.
In early November, the promoter of the WBO lightweight champion Denis Berinchik (19-0, 9 KOs) Alexander Krasyuk stated that Keyshawn Davis could be the Ukrainian’s next opponent.
Keyshawn Davis also stated that he wants to fight against the IBF and IBO lightweight world champion Vasily Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs). The Ukrainian himself took a break from his career and must make a final decision regarding its future before the New Year.
