Tyson Fury chose Malta, Alexander Usik – Spain
Before the rematch scheduled for December 21 in Riyadh between the holder of the WBC, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight belts Alexander Usik (22-0, 14 KOs) and former WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) has less than a month and a half left. Both boxers are completing the second, most important stage of preparation. Next is a week of acclimatization and a week of media activity. Note that Usik and Fury carefully observe the “silence regime”. Even on social networks of boxers there is not yet a hint of even a special focus of training, not to mention sparring partners. Usik’s work with Daniel Lapin in pairs does not count. So are Tyson Fury’s team runs.
Malta for Fury, Spain for Usyk
At the same time, apparently, during the preparation for the rematch with Fury, Usik did not change either his usual team or his usual place – Spain. But the Briton surprised.
According to media reports, Fury is conducting his six-week training camp in Malta. The Gypsy King arrived in the former British colony in the last week of October. It is noted that at this stage of preparation, Tyson will not have his father, John, with him. It is interesting that at first Fury was “declassified” by ordinary tourists, filming several of the boxer’s runs. And soon the Briton personally “confirmed” his stay in Malta.

Fury would not be himself if he refrained from appearing in public. On October 30, the Gypsy King stopped by the popular Mellieha one80 Kitchen restaurant to relax a bit. The restaurant itself happily announced this on its social networks. Usik, by the way, brightened up his hard training routine with a walk with his wife.
On the night of May 19, Usik inflicted the first defeat in his professional career on Tyson Fury in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by a split decision: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.
