Briton believes in victory over Usyk
Former World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) commented on the upcoming rematch with the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs).
The Briton said that on August 20, all viewers will be able to see the result of his work over the past 10 months. According to Anthony, he should enter the ring with the thought of winning.
“I changed a lot – the camp, the training places, there are changes in the team. It took some time, but I was able to recover quickly. I think it’s Saturday [20 августа] you’ll be able to see what we’ve been working on for the past 10 months.”
“You need to think about victory, give up the idea of being defeated. Combat must be approached with the thought of victory.”
“I don’t want to go back to London without belts. I said that they [пояса] do not mean anything, but deep down they have a certain value. I want to win. I believe that everything will come true.”
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. Last fall, the Ukrainian defeated Anthony by unanimous decision and became the world heavyweight champion for the first time.
The Ukrainian and the Briton have already arrived in Jeddah. This week the boxers are waiting for the final events before the fight.
In Ukraine, the broadcast of the Usyk-Joshua rematch will be hosted by the MEGOGO media service. The broadcast will be free for viewers in Ukraine. The show of the boxing evening will also be available on the regional channels of Suspіlny and the TV channel 2+2.
