In a rematch, Katie defeated Amanda Serrano again
Representative of Ireland Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) retained the title of absolute super lightweight champion.
In a rematch, Taylor defeated the Puerto Rican again Amanda Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs). The meeting lasted all 10 rounds and ended with Katie winning on points – three times by 95:94.
The reporting fight took place in Arlington on the undercard of the boxing evening program, where the headliner was the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
Recall that Taylor and Serrano met in April 2022. The Irishwoman won by split decision to claim the lightweight titles.
Katie won the junior welterweight belts in November 2023 in a re-fight against Chantelle Cameron. Taylor took revenge for her defeat from the British in May 2023. The parties negotiated for a third fight, but failed to reach an agreement, after which Katie decided to look for a new opponent.
Serrano defended her WBA, IBF and WBO featherweight titles in October 2023 against Brazilian Danila Ramos before defeating Stevie Morgan. Amanda planned to fight Nina Meinke, but withdrew from the fight on the day of the event due to an eye injury.
Two of boxing’s finest warriors! 👏 #TaylorSerrano2
