Russian Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov will defend his belt in a duel with Irish fighter Paul Hughes, reports the promotion’s press service.
The fight will take place on January 25, 2025 in Dubai (UAE) and will headline the Champions Series world title tournament.
Earlier, Usman Nurmagomedov defended the Bellator lightweight championship belt, defeating Alexander Shabliy by unanimous decision after five rounds.
Nurmagomedov, 26, has 18 victories in 19 fights (one fight was declared invalid). Hughes, 27, has 17 victories in 19 fights.
