Russian Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov said he was proud that his fight against Irish fighter Paul Hughes was the main event of the Champions Series world title tournament in Dubai (UAE).
The fight will take place on January 25, 2025.
“I am always happy to challenge the best athletes and I consider Paul Hughes a worthy opponent. “I am proud that the fight with my participation is the first major MMA event in the history of Dubai,” Nurmagomedov is quoted in the Bellator press service.
Nurmagomedov, 26, has 18 victories in 19 fights (one fight was declared invalid). Hughes, 27, has 17 victories in 19 fights.
