The former champion gave advice to the British boxer ahead of his rematch with the Ukrainian.

Former world champion Tony Bellew shares his opinion on the rematch between Tyson Fury and WBC, WBA and WBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk.

According to him, in order for a British boxer to hope for victory in a repeated fight, he needs to prevent the Ukrainian from fighting again in an aggressive manner.

“Fury should not have allowed Usyk to act aggressively. I was surprised by this. I was one of the few who bet on Usyk before their fight. Everyone thought Fury was too big, strong and heavy. I told everyone listening on I think Usyk will win. I just don’t think he can beat Tyson Fury by being aggressive.

This surprised Fury and the others. But this time, he can’t just get away. Tyson will be much more savvy and knowledgeable,” Bellew was quoted as saying by the Express.

The rematch between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. In May of this year, in the fight for the title of absolute champion, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by split decision.

Previously, Fury made strong promises before the rematch with Usik.
