The promoter of the WBC champion confirmed the negotiations regarding the fight.

WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) found out who he will face in the ring in his next fight after his fight with William Cepeda (32-0, 27 KOs) was canceled due to the latter’s injury.

American boxer Eddie Hearn’s promoter says they are in talks to arrange a fight with his client’s previously undefeated compatriot Floyd Scofield (18-0, 12 KOs).

“It’s a huge offer and I’m tired of people saying on Twitter. Make a fight. Scofield is a great young talent. That’s going to be great. He’s got nothing to lose. You’re being offered a ton of money and a great opportunity,” Hearn told Boxing News.

The fight is scheduled to take place on February 22 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

It was previously reported that George Kambosos made a bold challenge to Shakur Stevenson and received an answer.
