The Ukrainian boxer talks about who he is betting on the repeated fight between his compatriot and the Briton.
Former welterweight title contender Karen Chukhadzhyan said she considers the favorite in the rematch between WBC, WBA and WBO heavyweight belt holder Alexander Usik and ex-champion Tyson Fury.
The Ukrainian boxer noted that he is not taking the Briton lightly, but believes that his compatriot is capable of emerging victorious from the confrontation again.
“I’ll give 60/40 in favor of Usyk. I’ll root for him, that’s why I’m betting on him.
But overall, Fury has a chance. He showed in the first match that he can do it. The only question is whether he can fight the entire second fight as he boxed in the fifth and sixth rounds of the first fight,” said Chukhadzhyan in an interview with vRINGe.
The rematch between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. In May of this year, in the fight for the title of absolute champion, the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by split decision.
Note that Chukhadzhyan also said he should change Fury to a rematch with Usik.
