The fight is scheduled for the end of October
Former world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) and Jemaine Ortiz agreed to fight in the lightweight division.
According to insider Mike Coppinger, the fight is scheduled for the end of October. Lomachenko has already arrived in Los Angeles to start training camp.
In the last fight, 26-year-old Ortiz defeated Jamel Herring via unanimous decision.
Earlier, Tod DuBoeuf, president of Top Rank promotion company, confirmed that Lomachenko would return to the ring in the fall.
In July, the Ukrainian announced his readiness to return to the ring. It is expected that Vasily will fight his fight on October 22 after a long pause.
Lomachenko fought his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Lomachenko could fight George Kambosos, but pulled out against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
