Promotion company Agon Sports spokesman Ingo Volkmann has denied reports that the IBF ordered his client, world champion William Skull, to immediately play Russian Vladimir Shishkin again.
On October 20, Shishkin and Cuban Skull fought for the vacant IBF super middleweight belt. The fight lasted 12 rounds. Skull won by unanimous decision.
– This is fake news. We have a letter from the IBF, but they have not planned an immediate rematch. William will have a bigger fight soon. We negotiate with famous boxers,” Boxing Scene quotes Volkmann.
After the fight, Shishkin’s promoter, Dmitry Salita, expressed his intention to file an official protest against the results of the fight. However, according to Boxing Scene, no protests have been filed yet.
