Absolute world champion in Russian light heavyweight boxing Artur Beterbiev on the Telegram channel commented on the date set for the rematch with his compatriot Dmitri Bivol .
Previously, Chairman of the General Directorate of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia Turki Al al-Sheikh announced that the rematch between Bivol and Beterbiev would take place on February 22 in Riyadh. The first fight between two Russian boxers took place on October 12, 2024 and ended with Beterbiev’s victory by majority decision. As a result of this fight, Beterbiev became the absolute light heavyweight world champion.
“We will see each other again in Riyadh on February 22,” wrote Beterbiev
Beterbiev won 21 victories (20 by knockout) in the professional ring, Bivol had 23 victories and one defeat.
