UFC presented the Brazilian fighter with a franchise contract after he delivered an impressive knockout blow to his opponent in the ring
The entire UFC world was extremely impressed with what the Brazilian Claudio Ribeiro did inside the ring on the card of this week’s Contender Series episode in Las Vegas (USA). In front of his opponent, and the public, the athlete applied an impressive knockout in just 25 seconds of combat, and impressed Dana White at the same time.
To give you an idea, the president of the UFC got up from his chair when he saw what the fighter had done, and sent a: “My God” on the edge of the ring as soon as the Brazilian’s left hook took the Mexican opponent Ivan Valenzuela to the ground with no power of reaction. He still tried to get up, but he was in no condition to continue the fight.
Claudio Ribeiro’s precise knockout came right after Valenzuela tried to hit him with a spinning blow, which ended up making the impact of the crusader even more visible and blunt. At the age of 30, the Brazilian fighter won his tenth professional record, which still has two setbacks, and now a UFC contract.
After that triumph, and having impressed the UFC boss, Claudio was one of five fighters who received a contract with the biggest MMA organization at the end of the fourth episode of the sixth season. Because of this, all the winners ended up pleasing the event promoters enough to receive a big break in the franchise.
“25 seconds, man! It’s in!”, announced Dana White despite the few, but exciting words, saying that the Brazilian was being hired to fight in the UFC. “We’re here! We’re here to stay, division! Clau Clau has arrived! I said that Dana was going to say: ‘Oh, my God'”said Cláudio Ribeiro shortly after his victory in the Contender Series.

So the results were: Esteban Ribovics knocking out Thomas Paull in the first round; Claudio Ribeiro knocking out Ivan Valenzuela in the first round; jose johnson winning Jack Cartwright by unanimous decision; Hailey Cowan winning Claudia Leite by split decision; and Nazim Sadykhov defeating Ahmad Suhail Hassanzada by knockout in the third round.
