Hrgovic: I want to fight the winner of the Usyk-Joshua fight. I don’t care who wins

Croat will fight on the undercard of Usyk-Joshua

Croatian heavyweight boxer Filip Hrgovic (14-0, 12 KOs) expects to meet the winner of the rematch between the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22).

“I hope I get the opportunity to fight the winner of the Usyk-Joshua fight soon. I don’t want to wait years. I don’t care who wins. I am ready for any challenge. Let’s see what happens next, maybe a unification fight will be organized. The most important thing for me is to win the upcoming fight.”

Recall that Hrgovic will fight the IBF eliminator against the Chinese Zhang Zhilei (24-0-1, 19 KOs) on the undercard of the Usyk-Joshua fight.

Hrgovic and Zhilei were scheduled to meet on May 7 in Las Vegas on the undercard of Saul Alvarez vs. Dmitry Bivol. However, Philip withdrew from the fight due to personal circumstances.

The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.

In Ukraine, the rematch between Usyk and Joshua will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service and the 2+2 TV channel. Oleksandr personally purchased the rights to broadcast his fight with AJ in order to transfer them to Ukrainian broadcasters for free.

Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
