“I don’t know if he really wants to fight me. When I beat Diaz, everyone will understand that the fight for the money is me. Nobody wanted to fight me before. Now everyone knows that fighting me is money. Now I – the biggest star in UFC and only me have real fights. They don’t want to see the rest of the guys,” Chimaev said.
The Swede of Chechen origin remains undefeated – he has 11 victories in 11 fights, 5 of which were won under the auspices of the UFC.
On September 11, Chimaev will face American Nate Diaz at UFC 279 in Las Vegas, USA. Diaz’s stats in professional MMA are 20 wins, 13 losses, 0 draws.
