Famous promoter is sure that Tyson Fury is interested in a big fight
Promoter Bob Arum sure WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury agree to a fight with the winner of the rematch Oleksandr Usyk – Anthony Joshua.
“Certainly, this is really the only fight that makes sense for Fury. I have discussed this with my Fury co-promoter Frank Warren and once the Usyk-Joshua fight is over, we will start organizing a unification bout between the winner and Fury.”
“Now if Usyk wins the fight, which I expect, it will be pretty easy to do because we are very close to Usyk’s people as they are the same people who work with Vasily Lomachenko. If Joshua wins, his promoter is Eddie Hearn. Hearn and I have spoken many times about various fights and I’m sure we can agree on that as well.”
“I was talking to [Фьюри], and his statements are different every day, but he is a fighter and if there is a right fight, then Fury will be ready for this fight. The right fight is a unification fight against the winner of the rematch Usyk-Joshua and I think based on my conversations with Fury, he will be ready for this challenge. How long he will last after this, God only knows, but I am sure that at least he will answer the phone from the winner of the Usyk-Joshua fight.
Recall that Fury announced the end of his professional career after a convincing victory over Dillian Whyte in April. At the same time, the Briton has not yet vacated the WBC championship belt.
It was reported that Fury intended to wait for a rematch between Usyk and Joshua, after which Tyson planned to fight the winner of the confrontation.
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia.
In Ukraine, the Usyk-Joshua rematch will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service and the 2+2 TV channel. Oleksandr personally purchased the rights to broadcast his fight with AJ in order to transfer them to Ukrainian broadcasters for free.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
