The mayor of Kyiv believes in the victory of Oleksandr Usyk
Former world heavyweight champion and current mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klichko recorded a video message in support of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk ahead of his rematch with Anthony Joshua.
“Friends! Another battle for Ukraine will take place today. Even though this is a sporting duel, victory in everything is important for us today!”
“Oleksandr Usyk with the Ukrainian flag will go to Saudi Arabia for a rematch with Anthony Joshua. And millions of people around the world will see the victory of Ukraine.”
The second fight between Usyk and Joshua will take place on August 20 in Saudi Arabia. The referee in the ring will be the representative of Puerto Rico – Luis Pabon. Victor Fesechko (Ukraine), Steve Gray (Great Britain) and Glenn Feldman (USA) will take care of the judging.
In Ukraine, the rematch between Usyk and Joshua will be broadcast by the MEGOGO media service and the 2+2 TV channel. Oleksandr personally purchased the rights to broadcast his fight with AJ in order to transfer them to Ukrainian broadcasters for free.
Last fall, Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision to become world heavyweight champion for the first time.
