Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk commented on the victory over the British Antoine Joshua in the fight for the WBA Super, WBO, IBF and IBO Super heavyweight title.
– In the eighth round, I saw that he already felt like a winner. He kept saying to himself, “Keep calm, don’t stop. You can’t stop. Don’t stop. Important things were at stake in this fight. The belts go back to Ukraine,” Usyk said.
The fight went through 12 rounds, after which Usyk won by split decision – 113-115, 115-113, 116-112.
In September of last year, Usyk won four championship belts from Joshua, winning a unanimous decision after the results of twelve rounds.
