Vasily wants Usyk to win the WBC title
Former world champion Vasily Lomachenko commented on the victory of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) over Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).
“I have one question. What’s the score – 115-113 for Joshua? I don’t understand this judge. It was a very good fight. They both showed their big hearts, the hearts of warriors. Great fight. For Ukrainians, this means a lot. This is a great victory for our country.”
“I want to see Usyk with the WBC belt. It doesn’t matter if this fight is with Fury or not.”
Immediately after the victory over Joshua Usyk, he challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. And the Briton criticized both boxers for yesterday’s fight.
Following the results of all twelve rounds, Usyk defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
Recall that the first fight between Usyk and Joshua took place in the fall of 2021. Then the Ukrainian defeated the Briton by unanimous decision and became the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion for the first time.
