Russian mixed martial artist Alexander Emelianenko told that the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk demonstrated the best performance in a rematch with the British Antoine Joshua .
On Saturday in Saudi Arabia, Usyk beat Joshua by split decision and defended the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO heavyweight belts. These boxers’ first fight in the fall of 2021 ended with Usyk winning by unanimous decision. The WBC champion is the Briton Tyson Fury, who with some frequency announces his retirement.
– I am very happy for Usyk. Rooted for him! It was obvious that Joshua was better prepared for Alexander’s style, but the bloated order and speed superiority left the Briton no chance. Usyk showed boxing of the highest quality. This pace throughout the heavyweight fight is a rarity. I congratulate Usyk on a well deserved win and wish Fury win if he accepts to fight,” Emelianenko told .
Now Usyk has 20 wins and no losses. For Joshua, this is the third defeat of his career.
