Athletistic/ Boxing. WBA light heavyweight world champion (up to 79.4 kg) Russian Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs) will hold a mandatory defense against Mexican Gilberto Ramirez (44-0, 30 KOs) on November 5 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), according to the press service of the World Boxing Association.
The fighters’ promoters, Matchroom Boxing and Golden Boy, reached an agreement shortly before the open bidding.
Recall that in his last fight in May this year, Bivol scored the biggest win of his career, inflicting a second defeat on former pound-for-pound leader Mexico’s Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KO).
