Athletistic/ MMA. Former UFC middleweight champion, Australian fighter Robert Whittaker has commented on Khamzat Chimaev’s victory over Gilbert Burns and discussed the former’s prospects in a possible rematch.
“I think Khamzat played the game in that during his career he really didn’t get hit in the head. It seems to me that if Khamzat fights a lot of real killers and then meets again Burns five years later, he’s going to lose. In a duel with Burns, Khamzat missed a few hard shots, and Gilbert knows how to put off his opponents,” Whittaker said.
Chimaev defeated Burns by unanimous decision at UFC 273 on April 10. Khamzat’s statistics in professional mixed martial arts – 11 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws. Gilbert Burns has 20 wins, 5 losses, 0 draws. Robert Whittaker has won 23 times in his career, lost 6 times and has never finished his fights in a draw.
