MMA star Chael Sonnen recounted how, at one point, he attempted to make his UFC debut.
“I desperately wanted to get into the UFC, like my family, and it seemed like that opportunity wouldn’t come my way. My mom had a plan…she wasn’t a rich woman, but she was willing to pay $50,000 to Joe Silva who was promoting the fighters at the time to get me into the UFC I ended up getting the chance and my mom didn’t have to bribe the matchmaker I was ready to fight somebody that nobody else wanted to fight on short notice,” Sonnen said on his YouTube channel.
Sonnen, 45, has 31 wins and 17 losses in his career.
