Usyk defeated Joshua via split decision
Alexander Krasyukpromoter of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usykevaluated the refereeing of the rematch against Anthony Joshua.
“I was not surprised by the honest assessment of the results of the battle. This was the result of our work. What we are called to do is to ensure objectivity. The judge who gave the victory to Joshua – thank God, he was alone in this trio. But we talked with many coaches, and if there were two such referees in the top three, the result would not only be controversial, it would become anti-rational, and it would be officially recorded. Then there would be an unwinding of the negative situation, lawsuits, a drop in ratings.”
Recall that Krasyuk denied the date of a possible fight between Usyk and WBC title holder Tyson Fury.
Following the results of all twelve rounds, Usyk defeated Joshua by a split decision: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115. Immediately after the rematch victory over Joshua Usyk called Fury to fight.
