Athletistic/ MMA. Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter Charles Oliveira has said he wants to meet Irishman Conor McGregor in the octagon.

“A fight with McGregor would be perfect. I asked the UFC to do this fight in Brazil, so hopefully everything will be fine. I believe this fight will happen. That’s the only reason I agreed to fight Makhachev. The more I win, the more chance I have of meeting Conor in the octagon,” Sport24 Oliveira quotes ESPN.

Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev will face off at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 22. Charles is on an 11-game winning streak since 2018, Islam has a 10-game winning streak since 2016.

Conor McGregor, whom Oliveira has expressed a desire to fight, last entered the octagon on July 11, 2021: Conor broke his leg in a fight with American Dustin Poirier. Conor’s recovery process from a broken bone took over six months, and in March 2022 McGregor announced he was ready to return to the octagon, although since then numerous rumors have swirled that the Irish fighter would end his career.
