Spartakiad Champion of the Strongest Anastasia Konkina spoke about the active support of the public during judo competitions.
On Wednesday, 28-year-old Konkina won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg.
– You received strong support from the stands, although you are not from Kazan. Why?
– Friends came from Samara, where I live. It’s not far, so the landing went well.
– Why did the rival in the final, Daria Kurbonmamadova, not want to leave with the tatami? And how did you defeat her?
– Now I will explain everything to you. She made a hold, then a dive. She stood on her head, on her neck – it is forbidden with us. I fell, but as the adversary succeeded with a boring technique, she was disqualified.
– Too bad you didn’t win by active action, but by passive action?
– There is a bit. Everyone congratulates, but I understand that I did not win with a throw. But the rules are the rules. It happened that I threw beautifully, but I lost. It’s judo. The strongest is not judged, victory is victory.
Are you friends with Daria in real life?
– Yes, because we are from the same city, we met on the carpet 150 times, probably. We were preparing for the Olympics together, Daria ended up in Tokyo, not me. We have a very proper, friendly relationship.
“But she is sure that she has been prosecuted.
– Naturally, everyone drowns for himself. We talked after the final, Dasha said: “What am I going to present to you? Only judges, you have nothing to do with it.
– She also had a Samara support group here. From the left they shouted: “Daria is the best!”, from the right: “Anastasia is a tigress!”
“It’s true, it’s good that the fight hasn’t started. And let me be a tigress, I agree,” Konkina told reporters.
