Athletistic/ Boxing. UFC featherweight champion (up to 65kg) Australian Alex Volkanovski busted a knockout in a welterweight bout between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards, which took place last weekend at the UFC 278.
Recall that Edwards, losing on the judges’ cards, knocked out Usman with a high-kick a minute before the end of the fight.
“Let’s get into the technique. You throw the jab, and in Leon’s case because he’s left-handed, double jab. And that’s nice, considering Usman slips with a high kick.
Usman starts dodging at the same time as the high kick, so he literally melts on the kick. If this combination had been performed at the usual pace, then Usman would have had time to recover,” Volkanovski said in a statement on his YouTube channel.
