Hearn: I would give Usyk the edge against Fury

Eddie thinks both fighters are smart enough

Promoter Eddie Hearn commented on the possible unification fight between the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

“I would prefer Oleksandr Usyk in this fight. I just think he’s so good. They are both very smart fighters.”

“This fight is not going to be really good to watch, but it will be intriguing for sure. Tyson Fury doesn’t want to fight Usyk, but he might have to because there’s a lot of money at stake.”

Fury was reported to have instructed his co-promoter Frank Warren to organize the next fight to unify all the heavyweight belts with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk’s promoter Oleksandr Krasyuk denied the information about the fight with Tyson on December 17 in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Daily Mail, the venue for the fight will be the capital of Saudi Arabia – Riyadh. The total honorary fund is 125 million pounds. They want to fight on the eve of the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar.

Immediately after defeating British Anthony Joshua in a rematch, Usyk challenged WBC champion Tyson Fury to a fight. Following the results of all twelve rounds, Usyk defeated Joshua by a split decision of the judges.
