Ramazan Abdulaev answered questions from a correspondent after winning the judo competition in the weight category up to 60 kg as part of the Spartakiad of the strongest.
In the final fight, the representative of Irkutsk, Abdulaev, defeated Ayub Bliev from Krasnodar.
Did the gold come easily?
“It’s hard, because all the strongest have gathered here.
How do you judge the current season?
– If I go to the autumn world championship and I perform well, it will be possible to evaluate. While I only have the second or third start, it’s too early to tell.
“Have you ever been to Kazan?”
“Several times, big city. I’m not leaving here without medals.
– What do you put higher: the Russian championship or the Spartakiad?
– The tournaments are very similar in strength, and the best fights here and there. But I still put the title of Russian champion a little higher. The Spartakiad victory is one of the most significant.
— What is the Tlyaratinsky district, where are you from?
– These are high mountains, a five-hour drive from Makhachkala. The area is large, there are many villages, the population is 25,000 people. I am Avar by nationality, now I live and train in Irkutsk.
– Is it cold after Dagestan?
– I’m used to it. If you need to grow and progress, the cold isn’t great.
– What do you think, will you qualify for the World Championship?
– I am completely incompetent in this area. All I can do is get on the mat and play. Let the coaches decide the rest.
The Spartakiad Judo tournament will end on Wednesday August 24th.
