Spartakiad champion Kristina Dudina: ‘At my age it’s hard to be considered a favourite’

Judoka Kristina Dudina, after winning the Spartakiad, spoke about her sports regimen and shared her plans for the upcoming competitions.

On Wednesday, an athlete from the Sverdlovsk region won gold in judo competitions in the weight category up to 48 kg.

– How long have you been preparing for the Spartakiad?

– All summer.

– The rival Sabina Gilyazova is more experienced, eminent. And you won. Why?

– Probably, at my age it is difficult to be considered a favorite. I hope after the Spartakiad they will know more about me.

– You are not only old, but also extremely light. Do you keep it specially or does it not grow on its own?

– Yes of course. I drive about two kilos.

– What are you giving up?

– Sweets, buns.

– Do you want?

– Sometimes yes.

– What are your plans for the near future?

– Preparation for the Russian Championship, which will be held in my native country in Yekaterinburg. And then how will it be.

– How did you win the final?

This is called “landing”.

– And now you are automatically the first number of the national team?

“I don’t know, but that’s how it goes,” Dudina told reporters.

August 24 is the last day of judo competitions in Kazan.
