Athletistic/ Boxing. Former three-weight world champion Vasily Lomachenko of Ukraine is set to fight for the undisputed lightweight world title in 2023, promoter Bob Arum has said.

“First there will be a rematch and a title defense against Devin Haney, and in two weeks Lomachenko will enter the ring. If Haney beats Kambosos again and Lomachenko beats Ortiz, then in 2023 we will have a big fight Lomachenko will try to win all the lightweight belts in a battle with Haney. Vasily wants to get those belts,” Sky Sports Arum quotes.

The 34-year-old Ukrainian’s opponent in the next fight will be 26-year-old American boxer Jamaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs).

Lomachenko has not competed since December 2021.
